First, my apologies for the lack of updates the past few days, but it has been for a good reason. I’ve been excitedly preparing my site to take part in the official Countdown To Halloween!

It’s Wednesday, and once again time for another installment of CollectingCandy.com’s Wacky Wednesdays! Up for discussion today is a Wacky Package sticker from 1973’s Series 5; Big Baddy.
Today marks my third Razzles post for CollectingCandy, as it’s been quite a year of research and discovery for me on the topic. When I posted my “All About Razzles” article back on April 2nd, I thought I’d seen it all. After two previously-unseen flavors of Razzles showed up, I posted my “Revised and Revisited” entry on July 31st. It was fun to add those new discoveries to my original entry.
But the hits have kept on coming and last month I was amazed to learn about an early version of Razzles that was released in 1966, a full two years before the oldest pack I’d previously known about. An early version of Cherry Razzles also showed up at the same time. So my understanding about the origins of this product have been upended, and today I get to share both of these exciting new discoveries with you.
Today I get to herald the return of a pair of Just Born treats from the early 1990’s; Lem and Mel, and Cherri and Bubb. After nearly two decades off the shelves these tasty treats are back, so today we’re going to take a look at these new retro boxes and the originals they’re based on.
Today’s post marks the 200th entry for CollectingCandy.com, so I thought it was appropriate to share something a bit expansive. With that thought, today I’ll be presenting a very cool promotional brochure Topps provided to buyers picturing their 1974 product lineup. It’s a great piece with several photos of things I’ve not seen anywhere else.

I’ve always looked at Cracker Jack as more of a snack food than a confectionery product, but it really is a confection. Because of that, on it’s own it could be considered a legitimate topic for CollectingCandy.
Recently however, a wrapper surfaced from the early part of the 20th Century which provides a direct link between Cracker Jack and classic wrapped candies. It’s one I never knew existed.
Here’s one I didn’t really recall, even though I must have certainly seen it when it was out. Clark’s Alligator Eggs were on shelves in the early 1980’s, and today I will share a look at a box for these wonderfully-named treats.
