Catching Up With CurlyWurly!

The Brief Run of America’s Curly Wurly!
Cadbury’s Curly Wurly has been a staple of British confectionery since its introduction in 1970. But few people know that it was given a couple early shots at success here in the United States as well. Cadbury’s CurlyWurly Club Kit from 1982!
As a kid, and even as an adult, I’ve always appreciated a good fan club kit. I fondly recall getting my Star Wars Fan Club Kit back in 1978 with all the goodies that came along with that first package. Today I’ll be sharing the super-cool contents Cadbury’s CurlyWurly Club Kit from 1982.

It’s Election Day Tomorrow – So Today It’s Votes for Dogs!
Tomorrow here in the United States we celebrate one of the foundations of our democracy – Election Day. I thought I’d mark this momentous occasion with a wonderfully-unusual candy wrapper from the UK. It’s a chocolate bar designed for dogs called VOTES!

The Day After Halloween – and My CountdownToHalloween 2012 Review!
It’s November 1st and the time for talk of Halloween must be put away until next year. Well, almost!
It was such a big month for the site, I really wanted to take today to reflect on how it went, my favorite posts from the month, and some of the unexpected turns along the way.
My Mid-70’s Halloween Photos – All That Great Candy!
I started my Countdown To Halloween thirty days ago with a personal recollection and a photo from my earliest Halloween. I’d like to close out my month-long celebration in much the same way – with something fun and personal from my past that ties into the fun of Halloween candy and Halloween candy packaging. So today I’m going to explore a pair of photos from one of my childhood Halloweens, circa 1975 or 1976.
