TheCandyGeek Vlog Premieres Today!!

My new TheCandyGeek video blog (or vlog) launches today and I wanted to share the news here on CollectingCandy.com.  Make the jump to check it out!

TheCandyGeek vlog is a spin-off of the work I’ve been doing here on CollectingCandy.com for the past three-and-a-half-years.  It’s not a replacement, as I have no interest in stopping what I’m doing here.  And it really couldn’t be a replacement for this, as TheCandyGeek aims to be something more than just a video version of the kind of content I’ve been bringing you here on CollectingCandy.

Within TheCandyGeek vlog, I hope to mesh the worlds of my other geeky interests together with the world of candy culture.  I have a lot of fun ideas about the kinds of things I want to do with it, though I suspect there’s going to be a lot of evolution on that front as it goes along.

Juggling my work on CollectingCandy.com along with TheCandyGeek vlog will undoubtedly be challenging, but my plan is to put my best energies into both.  In so doing, I hope that they will feed each other creatively and that my work on one will make both better.  For those of you that have enjoyed and supported CollectingCandy.com, I hope join me for this next adventure and check TheCandyGeek out.

So now, here’s the very first episode of TheCandyGeek vlog:

I do want to let you know that I don’t plan to create new CollectingCandy.com entries for all subsequent TheCandyGeek vlog posts.  They are two separate things.  That said, I may create a permanent link button at the top or side CollectingCandy.com’s homepage that will lead to TheCandyGeek YouTube channel, so it’s always easy to find and catch up.

But for now, that’s it!  I hope you check out the first episode of TheCandyGeek, and I hope you dig it.  See you next time!!
