Target stores have been building out impressive Halloween seasonal sections for as long as I can recall and this year is certainly no exception. A big part of those annual seasonal offerings is their private label or store brand product which inevitably contains an array of confectionery gems. With that in mind, today I’m excited to showcase Target’s private label Halloween goodies for 2014!
As a pop-culture candy enthusiast and collector, my first visit to a Target store after they’ve put up their Halloween section is exciting. I’m always curious to see what approach they’ll take to their unified graphics and design. And of course there’s all the new candy.

This year they brought out a nice assortment of private label pegged gummies and novelty bubble gum.

I also took notice of the plastic containers of gross-out gummies – the gummy tongues were particularly groovy.

That’s everything I picked up from Target’s private label Halloween selection this year and I think it’s a great assortment of stuff.
But I have more to feature today as I realized, while bringing today’s article together, that I had never posted about the Target Halloween private label offerings from last year. It’s worth noting that rather than reusing the same designs year-after-year, Target comes up with entirely new seasonal private label packaging designs every year.
I only picked up one of the Target gummies packs last year, but it’s enough that you can get a good look at what their 2013 private label design looked like:

Last year, their private label used a woodgrain graphical background with a Jack-O-Lantern or skull logo frame. I snapped a few photos of the private label last year that I dug up for today as well.

It is always a treat to visit Target around Halloween. I especially like the big spider that they are using this year on signs and store displays. Have you seen that spider used on any packaging yet?
