For this week’s edition of Wacky Wednesdays we’ll be covering an entry from 2011’s Wacky Packages Old School series 2 – BB Brats.<\/p>\n

This is a fun one, based on the 1970’s version of the classic taffy treat, BB Bats – in this case, the strawberry flavor.\u00a0 Here’s a look at the sticker:<\/p>\n

Wacky Packages Old School Series 2 – B-B-Brats – February 2011<\/p><\/div>\n

Due to the nature of the original wrapper, this one is largely monochromatic.\u00a0 I think the artist, David Gross, did as he always does – he did a great job on this one.<\/p>\n

Here’s a look at a 1970’s Strawberry BB Bats wrapper:<\/p>\n

Fair Play Caramels – BB Bats – Strawberry Taffy candy wrapper – mid-1970’s<\/p><\/div>\n

You’ll note that the wrapper background is white, and in the Wacky Package it looks pink.\u00a0 This is due to the fact that, on a packaged strawberry BB Bats, the white is transparent and the pink of the taffy itself shows through.\u00a0 So, the look of the Wacky parody IS accurate.<\/p>\n
