\"\"<\/a>As I pointed out yesterday, today marks the opening day for Major League Baseball’s 2012 season.\u00a0 Tonight at just after 7pm, the Cards and the Marlins face off.\u00a0 So, continuing the thematic of baseball from yesterday’s post, today’s edition of Wacky Wednesdays is about Wedgie!<\/p>\n

A parody of the 1970’s Reggie! bar, Wedgie! was released as part of Wacky Packages Old School Series 2, back in the spring of 2011.\u00a0 As I’ve pointed out before, Wacky Packages Old School aims to pick up where the 1970’s Wacky Packages left-off, by creating new parodies of 1970’s products (and their 1970’s packaging) that were not done during the original Wacky Packages run.<\/p>\n

The brainchild of artist Dave Gross, Old School is a pretty neat project.\u00a0 This Reggie! bar parody is especially interesting, as Dave’s desire to include it in the series helped define the upward cutoff of how late a product could be included.\u00a0 Dave wanted to be able to include a parody for the Reggie! bar, so the upward limit for Old School became 1978.<\/p>\n
