Since launching back in early 2012, we’ve never celebrated St. Patrick’s Day here on CollectingCandy.com.\u00a0 The reason is pretty simple in that St. Patrick’s isn’t a holiday that has much of an association with candy – it’s mostly associated with beer.\u00a0 So it’s near-impossible to find candy or packaging created specifically for St. Patrick’s as there was never a strong reason to acknowledge it.\u00a0 But today I’ve got a neat offering from a few years ago that was created specifically to mark St. Patrick’s Day!<\/p>\n

What I have to show is a limited edition Hershey’s Kisses release that was on shelves back in the Spring of 2008.\u00a0 I am not 100% certain but I believe this was a Target-exclusive release. \u00a0 Here is the package for Hershey’s Kisses Creme de Menthe!<\/p>\n

As you can see, the packaging sports a shamrock as well as a St. Patrick’s Day-themed Leprechaun hat which really seals the deal.<\/p>\n

Though this is the only St. Patrick’s Day-themed candy package in my personal collection, I’m confident it’s not the only one that’s ever been produced.\u00a0 I will certainly continue to keep my eyes peeled for the ones I’ve likely missed.<\/p>\n

I didn’t want to conclude this post by only sharing a single package.\u00a0\u00a0 With that in mind, and since the tradition for the holiday is to dress in the color green, I thought I’d bring together a grouping of green candy wrappers through the years for a St. Patrick’s themed CollectingCandy collage.\u00a0 This is what I came up with:<\/p>\n
